There’s a very thin line separating sanity from insanity. Throughout history there were millions of people that went crazy each one of them had something that drove them crazy, even famous figures such as Hitler, war mad him lose his mind. When we hear the word ‘mad scientists’ this term embodies the image of crazy, insane experiments and surgeries. Today we’re going to shed the light on this different category of crazy, mad people these people has a noble reason and knowledge made them lose their mind, these people are smart, they dedicated their lives to venture the world of science but lost their righteous way of thinking, buckle up and lets dive into the list of The most insane scientists that has walked on this planet.

1. William Buckland.

This man was remembered for being the first man to pen a complete description of a fossilized dinosaur, it is the megalosaurus. Nonetheless, as smart and brilliant this man might be he had a weird habit, its more of an obsession, back in his days he used to dine on absolutely anything you name it bath urine, grilled frogs, moles. This man has went to the extreme when he dined on a shrunken heart of king Louis XIV .

2. Jose Delgado.

Jose Delgado is a Madrid university graduate and received the prestigious professorship at Yale university. Although, he was a very hard working psychologist but his research in the field was always deemed weird and out of hand, when he was in Yale university between 1950 and 1960 he inserted electrode implants into the brain of primates trying to control their cognitive abilities using a remote control which gives off radio frequencies so that he would made them move a certain way. But his craziest stunt was when he performed the same experiment on a wild bull and entered a ring alongside it trying to stop it from reaching him using a transmitter.

3. Stubbins Ffirth.

Ffirth was an American trainee doctor very well known of his stubbornness and when he fixate on something you just cannot do anything to throw his off of it. He was very well known of his unusual investigation of yellow fever. Back to when he was just a trainee doctor he became so obsessed with the idea that yellow fever is not contagious, he went to extreme lengths to prove it. He has done some of the craziest stuff in his way to prove that, one day he sliced open his arm and purred vomit from a yellow fever patient to prove his theory when that wasn’t enough he even drunk its vomit, covered himself in blood and vomit, eventually he proved his theory and people were finally convinced but later on its as discord that he took those samples from patients who were at their late stages of infection and beyond the period of contagion therefor his effort and his crazy.

4. Vladimir Demikhov.

Vladimir Demikhov is a very famous soviet scientist who was well known for being the pioneer in organ transplant, he was very successful in transplanting a number of vital organs between dog. As every scientist he wanted to level up and take step further in his field therefor he decided to he want to creat a two-headed dog. Demikhov and his assistants attempted this operation almost 24 times, the last one was the most famous one and it was even featured in life magazine. They have created a creature -a two headed dog- that’s horrific to look at and very unusual, fusing the head and nick of a small dog onto a large stray German shepherd. Even though both dogs were still able to see, smell, hear and swallow but only one that has stomach. So, whatever the small dog ate simply flowed through an external tube that Demikhov implanted and dripped down on the floor.
