Weapons that failed miserably.

Humans history is one that’s full of conflicts and wars. Throughout the years humans have fought each other severely and relentlessly and with that ongoing conflicts they needed tools to win them battles that’s why they needed to invent and develop their weapons. weapons vary from one to period to another and Even though today the weaponry industry is so advanced and well equipped but through the years there are some that failed drastically and in utterly ridiculous way , let’s take a look at some of the most ridicule and bizarre failures in the weapons industry.

1. The great Panjandum.

This weapon was designed and invented by British scientists to break down Hitler walls and defenses by ramming 4000 pounds of explosives connected to a two feet metal walls. The crazy thing thing about the mechanism of the whole thing is how the wheels move, in order to get 4000 pounds of explosives moving fast enough to ensure it would reach the walls before being intercepted by hitler forces, the British scientists attached rockets to the wheels, these rockets would allow the Panjandrum to move 60 miles per hour. The problem with this weapon was if just one rocket failed, it would start spinning in circles and go wildly off course. Later on a few other rockets were add in case one of them failed but the outcome remind the same and when they were testing it, the rockets started ripping themselves off of the wheels and almost killing the testers therefore this weapon was cancelled due to its high risk and low performance.

2. The VZ-1 Pawnee.

The VZ-1 Pawnee is a helicopter developed in the 1950s,  it was built like platform that would carry a soldier up into the sky using a helicopter-like propeller system. The idea behind this weapon is pretty to cool to look at for it makes the soldier hovering mid-air, unfortunately, all it did during battle was to make the soldier as an easy target therefore it took only one to two bullets to bring him down. The whole idea behind this semi helicopter was very cool and innovative but it wasn’t practical nor useful during so it had to be cancelled immediately, they wouldn’t want to see their soldiers flying down into ashes.

3. The active denial system.

This system was actually a heat gun used to give enemy soldiers and unruly crowds intense burns. It was built to look similar to a satellite dish and would focus its radiation toward soldiers, this as supposed to make them incredibly uncomfortable and could cause an entire crowed to disperse, that’s how they thought it to be, a weapon that can make people feel like they’re on a microwave causing burns, nausea and extreme discomfort. This weapon only lasted only about a month and was cancelled for in actuality this weapon can only cause people a bit of sun burns and would do nothing in battles, people using sunscreen would barely sense it, this means that the military lost about 40 millions dollars only to give people sun burns or maybe help them tan a bit.
